Food is his first love, and he regularly thanks his lucky stars for his fast metabolism. Food makes everything better, which is probably why he likes to shower his friends with their favourite dishes.
He has never been, and probably never will be, one of the cool kids. Not that he really minds being regarded as "lame" though, he's mostly content being who he is and won't change just to fit in. Seokjin can take a joke, and his sense of humour can get a little dark, but that might be due to the amount of time he spends on the internet and around his older brother.
...Childhood
Kim Seokjin was born on the 4th of December 1993 in Anyang. A second child had definitely been on the family's agenda, but after the gift of Jungjin a few years earlier, they'd set their hearts on a sweet little daughter and it showed in the pale pink bedroom Seokjin occupied for almost five years.
He was a few weeks premature but otherwise a healthy baby with the chubbiest cheeks and strongest set of lungs, keeping his parents awake at night with his adorable crying. His older brother begged their parents to take the baby back to the hospital and leave him there indefinitely, but luckily after a few weeks he grew fond of little Jin and became the protective older brother Seokjin would undoubtedly need in the future.
...School
Ever since he was in Middle School Seokjin had a knack for making things better. He liked being the one to cheer up his friends and family, to put a smile back on their faces and lend a sympathetic ear whenever one was needed. Saying the right thing seemed to come naturally to him, just as combining ingredients did.
As strange as it was at the time for a six year old boy to want an Easy-Bake Oven instead of a bike or Pokemon cards, his parents eventually gave in and decided to buy him one for Christmas (after a few weeks of persistant asking, anyway.) Seokjin spent more time cooking than anything else, aside from studying just enough to maintain his almost perfect grades; almost simply because Gym was his biggest weakness, thanks to an aversion to sweating and the misfortune of having two left feet.
High School was a challenge Seokjin reluctantly accepted. His parents stuck him in the same all boys school they'd sent Jungjin to, the only difference being that the older Kim sibling had fit in right away by playing his part as the cool guy. Whereas Jin was given the nickname Jinah and was unwillingly appointed the sole cheerleader for the school's soccer team. It wasn't all bad though, as time went on Seokjin proved to be popular for the very reason he'd been teased in his freshman year; femininity. He received chocolates on Valentine's Day and got to play the female lead in the school's production of Romeo & Juliet, which was a strangely enjoyable experience that he'll most likely never bring up in conversation even if his life depends on it.
...University
Going to University was something he'd long since decided, and there was never any doubt as to which major he'd choose; Culinary arts. Seokjin decided to rush Delta Tau Delta in his Freshman year, mainly because he felt he fit in so well with the so-called misifts compared to the other three fraternities.
>> His older brother, Jungjin, is currently engaged to the girl Seokjin had a crush on when he was ten years old. He never really got over it, which made things a little...awkward.
>> He loves cooking shows, fast internet, old movies, comedy series, and snack foods.
>> There are snacks hidden all around his room, lest he starve should the apocalypse hit.
